The Boehner Resignation: Its Underlying Meaning

Today I begin a collection of the more thoughtful articles on the recent resignation of John Boehner.  The author of the first article is right to be concerned.  However, there is one thing we must remember.  This is a split party.  It remains to be seen whether they can even conduct a coherent campaign next year.

At the same time, the author is right to express grave concern over the path being taken by the Republicans, increasingly untethered from Party machinery and grasping at political straws in a whirlwind.
