More on the Republican Split

The Republican Party has been continuing in a state of disequilibrium since at least late summer.  This is an extraordinary period of disquietude and turmoil for a major political party.

It is a reflection of the anger and unsettled nature of the electorate made up as it is of worried citizens, not knowing when and if their economy -- both local and national -- is going to stabilize.

Thus it is not a wonder that at least one major party is splitting.  We could indeed see the emergence of a traditionalist-Republican Party, whatever they may choose to call themselves.
