Though in many ways uncertain of mind and clearly unfortunate in death, John F. Kennedy was, nevertheless, a true President, seeking to maintain the peace and protect the welfare of the people regardless of political party, religious faith, or social status.
America can and must return to at least this level of dignity and competence in the office of the Presidency. The need is urgent, the cause just. The time is now.
Next month marks the 56th anniversary of this fateful day in Dallas.
