A web log based on the principle that a civilized society deserves democratic government based on integrity. The premise here is the U.S. democracy has effectively been subverted by oligarchical forces which must be opposed with facts and rational thought. (An RSS feed is recommended.)

Why a New Civil War Is Unlikely

Rapid Reference

From a year ago, we find this article showing why a new Civil War in the U. S. is not likely.  The article is too short to treat the subject exhaustively, yet it helps us understand why even now, a new Civil War as in the nineteenth century is unlikely.

However, this is not to say large-scale civil unrest is impossible, or that great disquietude is not already present in the land.  But reading this article may give protestors courage that they can succeed in resisting a dystopian move to the far-right.
