For reader's of today's New York Times, it is apparent democracy as we have known it in the United States is dead -- at least as far as Our Military Leader is concerned.
From the Intelligence Affair, to the Iranian bombing of Saudi Arabia, to the border wall, the Constitution is being weakened, skirted around, undermined, and mocked at nearly every turn.
Most telling was the conclusion of today's editorial which essentially said that Constitutional means of repairing the damage are not enough. This is The Times, not me, saying this.
And yet, the conclusion is supported by the facts as given in the paper. We can talk about the complicity of the press in the lead-up to this fiasco. But for now, thoughtful people must ask: What is the responsibility of the press and media now? And, what is my responsibility now?
Your Patriot in Exigency will be looking for resources to help answer this question peacefully. I will also be looking for ways to communicate my findings in a constructive way.
