We all make mistakes.
Now that that cliche is out of the way, we have two egregious errors on our hands. One perpetrator has apologized, the other has not.

A theme of this blog in coming days will be the existence of what amounts to a corporate-government-media regime. The strange thing is, occasionally one or another part of the octopus will have a collapse and the fix-it image doctors must be called in.
I credit Brian Williams with his apology, assuming the new story also holds up. (The Stars and Stripes story leaves me with a couple of questions.)
And the silver lining here is that the regime is having trouble holding its disparate parts together. This is a testament to the essential goodness of America. When massive fraud is tried, the regime can't hold up.
