Web Log Purpose

A web log based on the principle that a civilized society deserves democratic government based on integrity. The premise here is the U.S. democracy has effectively been subverted by oligarchical forces which must be opposed with facts and rational thought. (An RSS feed is recommended.)

Revolution does not always have to be weapons and warfare; it’s also about revolutionary ideas.

                                                                     -- Edward Snowden

Today I have been reading an interview with Edward Snowden by representatives of The Nation magazine conducted last October.  It is a very interesting interview so far and I will complete it soon.  I have called Snowden an American patriot elsewhere, and I think this interview shows why. This is a solid young man, thoughtful, stable, and caring.  What more could one want in a citizen?

Only persons enamored of security operations strictly for the sake of the game could be against Snowden.   Well, there is one exception and that is people who misunderstand what he is about.

So we have the present interview with America's long-lasting voice of freedom, The Nation.  Let's all read this interview with care and the kind of thought it deserves.  Young people especially should be rather thrilled with such an individual.  But Americans of any age can be proud of someone who is willing to stand up for American values even while paying a large price.
