U.S. Slumps and Slinks Toward Spying Reform

Time magazine reports that a Federal court has upheld the bulk collection of certain phone records which the National Security Administration has been collecting for years.  This suspicious ruling may be moot since Congress has passed a new law supplanting the old one at issue here.  Still the message sent by this ruling is troubling.


The uproar over the surveillance program began in 2013 when former NSA contractor Edward Snowden leaked details to news organizations.
