The Washington Post's editorial pages today are full of articles telling of shocking physical assaults of one kind and another by goonish individuals against others -- from protestors to a head of state.
Thankfully, there has been "push-back" of the non-physical kind against such strong-arm tactics.
But is America facing a new fascist tolerance? That is, are we seeing a creeping acceptance of the kinds of actions common in such countries as Turkey and Saudi Arabia, where protest is not tolerated?
The link below leads to an article about a book which details anti-fascist efforts in twentieth century America. The book appears to be most useful, and so says the review.
An effort which is appropriate to our times to oppose fascism is surely in order now.
