The Importance of Impeachment -- Will Bush Pardon Himself?

As has become normal, the election of two weeks ago is still being dissected and analyzed days afterward. Just before the election I warned of more vote stealing. It appears that did in fact go on, just not in sufficient numbers to upset at least the Presidential election result. It appears it nearly derailed other races, however.

But while the dust settles on the election there is another important matter awaiting disposition -- the impeachment of Bush and Cheney. Whether it is launching an illegal wire-tapping program, lying to Congress and the American people about supposed threats from Iraq, or exposing a covert C.I.A. agent, and so much more, George W. Bush and Richard Cheney deserve to be held to account. So certainly this is a great time to contact your Congressman or -woman in support of this worthy action. And now come credible fears G. W. Bush may pardon all sorts of potential criminals, including himself. Failure to demand impeachment now is an abdication of responsibility as a citizen.
