The KKE is the Communist Party of Greece. Along with Syriza, the KKE saw an increase in its vote totals this past Sunday -- in this case by 1% over the past election. This put KKE at 5.5% of the vote. While I am not a communist, I am a patriot in exigency. At the least I am interested in the total picture in Greece.
The KKE clearly has some important things to say, even if its solutions may not always be popular. For instance, I agree with the party that there can be no compromise with capitalism, ultimately. For capitalism is all about the individual -- that is, the individual who already has the capital and thus the power. It has always been this way with this very unjust economic system, otherwise known as the profit system.
So, we must be clear. Syriza at this time does not appear to have the answer the Greek people are looking for, though they may be able to stop a deepening of the suffering of the victims of the Troika.
