Not parting, as in a final parting
Just a parting for the moment:
Today I am working on placing the Trump movement in historical terms and in present-day terms. For it is clear we have something like a neo-fascist movement on our hands, something Europe is also dealing with.
It is ever so important to understand this movement so it can be adequately opposed. People are aggrieved; that is unmistakable. And seeing no alternative to their uncertainty and misery, some are lurching toward the far right. We have seen this in America before. The difference now is we have a demagogue laying claim to the Republican Party nomination. Either one of two things must happen: Trump must be de-legitimized or the Republican Party must be. If the first happens, the second is almost sure to follow. That would leave Clintonism as the de facto rightist movement.
But this is rushing things. First, as I said before, we must understand this Trumpist/Fascist movement. And time is of the essence. The video linked to on Worthwhile Web Links here, may be a good start for us.
