As frightening as the last days have been with a surging Trump campaign, and as difficult as it has been to oppose the celebrity mogul, America seems on the verge of missing a clear opportunity to make a break with the past. Instead, the danger is we will continue to muddle through.
With a press and media continuing their relentless drive to eliminate the one candidate who seemed to challenge the greed system -- Sen. Sanders -- the U.S. seems doomed to four more years of simply muddling through, at best. With Hillary Clinton, there won't be any major challenge to Wall Street dominance, unless Bernie Sanders and his supporters can continue to organize such a challenge.
For the challenge to Wall Street control must come from somewhere. It won't be handed down from one high, as if by magic. Let us hope that Sen. Sanders will be able to continue his larger campaign against "the billionaire class" until something meaningful can happen to stop the merchants of greed and oppression.
